In Ontario and Quebec, psychological services are not covered under the provincial health plan. Most extended health insurance plans cover some psychological care. Further, expenses not covered by extended health care plans are tax deductible as health care expenses, or professional expenses in the case of consultation sessions for mental health professionals and clinical supervisors.
My rates are comparable to those of other psychologists and are in accordance with provincial guidelines.
Payment for sessions occurs upon session delivery and can be done by e-transfer. A receipt is issued and sent to you by email upon receipt of session fee, which can be submitted to your insurance provider or kept for tax purposes.
